Penelope’s Blues Bouquet

Soft. Modern. Thoughtfully chosen.

Penelope’s Blues is a calm, colour-led bouquet built around soft blue tones and gentle contrast. It’s a popular choice for welcoming a new baby boy, celebrating milestones, or marking meaningful moments, but it’s just as perfect for anyone who simply loves blue.

The palette is carefully balanced to feel fresh and modern rather than themed. Cool blues are layered with lighter tones to create depth and movement, giving the bouquet a relaxed, timeless feel that works in any space.

This is a versatile gifting bouquet, ideal for new arrivals, proud parents, birthdays, thank-yous, or thoughtful gestures where something softer and more considered feels right. It suits friends, family, colleagues, and anyone who appreciates a calm, elegant colour palette.

As with all of our bouquets, Penelope’s Blues is premium by default. Each stem is chosen to complement the overall design, creating a clean, polished finish that looks just as good in a home as it does arriving as a surprise.

Understated, elegant, and easy to gift, Penelope’s Blues is a bouquet that works beautifully for many occasions, without ever feeling boxed into just one.

Pictures are for illustration purposes only. No two bouquets will ever be identical. All bouquets are sold without any extras unless added to the basket. This bouquet contains 2 hydrangeas, 3 spray roses, and 6 roses, plus arrangement and packaging, as further outlined in your order summary.

More Information

Penelope’s Flowers started in 2020 from a garage in Blackpool. From the very beginning, we wanted to do things differently. We loved flowers, but more than that, we loved the idea of creating bouquets that felt special, full, romantic, and unforgettable.

That passion for flowers is still what drives every bouquet we make today.

Our system is built around freshness. When orders are placed, they are planned into our supplier system so the flowers needed for upcoming bouquets can be sourced specifically for those orders. This helps us receive stems at the right stage, ready to be checked, hydrated, conditioned, and prepared before use.

When your flowers arrive with us, each stem is inspected individually. We check the quality, cut the stems, condition them, hydrate them, and prepare them before they are arranged by hand into the Penelope’s design you selected.

When you order from us, your basket and checkout show the stems included in your chosen size. Those are the stems being purchased for your order. The stem values are explained in the Stem Count tab, and the remaining cost reflects the work involved in preparing, arranging, packaging, protecting, and dispatching your finished bouquet.

Every stem is individual and has its own character. No two stems will ever be exactly the same. Shape, tone, size, texture, opening stage, movement, guard petals, and natural markings can all vary from stem to stem.

That is what makes fresh flowers beautiful. Some stems may open sooner, some may hold tighter, and some may show soft markings or natural texture through the petals. These natural differences are part of working with real flowers and are what make every finished arrangement unique.

Our photos show previous examples of the selected style. Your order will be created using the stems listed for your chosen size and arranged as closely as possible to the overall look, colour palette, fullness, and finish shown.

Stem Count

When buying from Penelope’s Flowers, you understand that each order is made up of three parts:

  1. Prepared stem value
The flowers included in your chosen bouquet size.
  2. Floristry and preparation
The work 5 in preparing, arranging, packaging, protecting, and making your order ready for dispatch.
  3. Delivery
Delivery is charged separately at checkout based on the service selected.

Prepared stem values:

Hydrangeas: £5.50 per stem
Single Roses: £2.50 per stem
Spray Roses: £2.50 per stem

Where possible, we may include additional stems within your bouquet to help protect the overall arrangement during transit. We do this because preventing an issue before it happens helps give your flowers the best chance of arriving beautifully.

If there is an issue with any stem on arrival, please follow the FreshProof QR arrival process included with your order. This allows us to review the affected stem quickly using the correct arrival information.

Where appropriate, affected stems may be replaced or refunded in line with our Returns Policy and your statutory rights.

Care Instructions

Fresh flowers are perishable products and the first few moments after delivery can make a huge difference to how your bouquet performs. Because of this, we have created a guided arrival process designed to help your flowers look their best from the moment they arrive and allow us to quickly identify and resolve any concerns before they become a larger issue.

For selected high value bouquets, our courier is authorised to open the delivery box and take a photo of the bouquet before final delivery takes place. The box is then resealed using our QR security sticker before being passed to the customer. This allows us to verify the condition and presentation of the bouquet whilst it is still within the delivery network so that, in the unlikely event any issues are identified, they can be reviewed and resolved before the bouquet reaches you.

Before opening your delivery box, please scan the QR code sticker sealed across the top of the box. Once scanned, you will first be asked to take a quick photo of the bouquet inside the box before removing the flowers. Example images will be provided to show the best angle and positioning for the photo.

This allows us to compare your arrival image against our dispatch records and, where applicable, the courier delivery photo so we can quickly confirm that everything has travelled as intended during transit.

You will then be guided through a small number of additional photo prompts together with the full care instructions for your bouquet. These steps are designed to help maximise freshness, hydration, presentation, and overall vase life from the moment your flowers arrive.

In the unlikely event that any stems require attention upon arrival, this process allows our team to review and resolve concerns quickly and accurately. Because our collections leave in the early afternoon, reporting any concerns promptly through the QR process gives us the best possible opportunity to arrange replacement stems or appropriate resolutions quickly where required.

Deliveries currently operate Tuesday to Saturday.

Delivery Policy

At Penelope’s Flowers, we use a specialist overnight courier network which has handled our bouquets since 2020. Our packaging, preparation, and dispatch systems have all been built specifically around transporting fresh flowers nationwide as safely and efficiently as possible.

Fresh flowers are perishable products and it is important that the recipient is available and able to accept delivery on the intended delivery date.

Customers are responsible for ensuring:

  • The delivery address provided at checkout is correct and complete
  • The recipient’s contact details are accurate where provided
  • The recipient is available to accept delivery
  • Any delivery instructions or safe place instructions are suitable and accurate

Penelope’s Flowers cannot accept responsibility for failed deliveries, delays, deterioration, or additional courier charges caused by incorrect delivery information, restricted property access, recipient unavailability, or unsuitable delivery instructions provided during checkout.

Delivery dates selected at checkout are estimated delivery dates rather than guaranteed delivery dates unless explicitly confirmed otherwise in writing. While we always aim to deliver on the requested date, delays can occasionally occur within courier networks due to circumstances outside of our reasonable control including weather conditions, traffic disruption, depot delays, routing issues, or high seasonal demand.

Because our bouquets are prepared using extremely fresh flowers designed for maximum vase life, we strongly recommend ordering flowers slightly in advance of the date they are required where possible.

For example, if flowers are needed for the 20th, we would generally recommend selecting delivery for the 18th rather than the 20th itself. This allows the bouquet time to properly hydrate, settle, and open naturally before the occasion whilst also allowing time to resolve any unexpected transport related issues should they occur.

If a bouquet is ordered for a Saturday but Saturday delivery has not been selected and paid for at checkout, the bouquet may instead be delivered on the nearest available working day, including the Friday before or the following Tuesday, depending on courier routing and availability.

Due to the perishable nature of fresh flowers, bouquets should not remain within the courier network or inside delivery depots longer than necessary. Where delivery cannot be completed due to recipient unavailability, failed delivery attempts, refusal of delivery, inaccessible property, or customer related delivery issues, Penelope’s Flowers cannot accept responsibility for any reduction in freshness, vase life, or flower condition occurring after the initial delivery attempt.

For selected bouquets, the courier may open the delivery box and take a photograph of the bouquet whilst it remains within the delivery network as part of our quality control procedures. The box is then resealed before final delivery takes place. These photographs may be used when reviewing delivery or quality related concerns raised after delivery.

Upon receiving your delivery, customers agree to follow the QR arrival and care process provided with the bouquet, including scanning the QR code sticker attached to the delivery box and following the prompts, guidance, photo requests, and care instructions provided through the QR care page.

If a timed delivery service is selected and paid for at checkout, but delivery takes place outside of the selected delivery window, Penelope’s Flowers’ liability will be limited to refunding the difference between the delivery service purchased and the delivery service ultimately provided.

This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to the goods themselves.

Orders cannot always be amended, redirected, or cancelled once they have entered the courier network due to the speed and preparation involved in dispatching fresh flowers.

Deliveries currently operate Tuesday to Saturday excluding certain postcode restrictions, public holidays, severe weather conditions, and circumstances outside of our reasonable control.

Returns Policy

Fresh flowers are perishable products and, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, bouquets supplied by Penelope’s Flowers are exempt from the standard 14 day cancellation period which applies to many online purchases.

When you place an order with Penelope’s Flowers, your order immediately enters our preparation and procurement process. Orders placed throughout the day are automatically added to our supplier ordering system, with stock commitments and flower purchasing taking place directly with our farms and suppliers shortly afterwards. Because flowers are purchased specifically for customer orders, we are committed to those purchases very quickly after an order is placed.

For this reason, orders cannot usually be amended, cancelled, or refunded once preparation, purchasing, conditioning, or dispatch processes have begun.

This does not affect your statutory rights if your flowers arrive with an issue upon delivery.

When purchasing from Penelope’s Flowers, you are purchasing the individual stems listed within your order which are then professionally arranged into the bouquet style selected. Because of this, if any issues arise relating to specific stems upon delivery, we may offer replacement or refund relating specifically to the affected stems rather than the bouquet as a whole.

As part of our preparation process, we also include additional stems within bouquets to help account for the rare occasion where individual stems may naturally deteriorate during transport or handling. While issues are uncommon across the large volume of bouquets we dispatch each week, we build our systems around resolving any concerns as quickly and fairly as possible.

If you believe there is an issue with your bouquet, you must follow the QR arrival and care process provided with your order upon delivery. This includes scanning the QR code attached to the delivery box, following the prompts provided, and submitting the requested photographs and information through the QR care page.

We request that any concerns are raised as soon as reasonably possible after delivery so that we can review the bouquet in its delivered condition and resolve any issues quickly and fairly.

Because flowers are natural, organic, and perishable products, slight variations in colour, tone, opening stage, stem shape, petal texture, and natural markings do not automatically make a bouquet faulty. Photographs shown throughout our website are illustrative examples and every bouquet will naturally vary depending on season and stem availability.

Refunds or replacements may be refused where:

  • The QR arrival and care process has not been followed
  • The bouquet has not been cared for in accordance with the instructions provided
  • Concerns are reported after the flowers have naturally deteriorated due to age, environmental conditions, or lack of care
  • The issue relates solely to natural variation expected within fresh flowers
  • Delivery issues have been caused by incorrect delivery information, recipient unavailability, or failed delivery attempts outside of our control

Where a refund is agreed, it will be processed back to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

Nothing within this policy limits or excludes your statutory rights under applicable consumer law.
