Penelopes Flowers

Delivery policy

Getting to you, honestly How your flowers travel, what we promise, and what happens if Royal Mail runs late. No small print.

How delivery works

You always pick from days we can genuinely reach you.

We deliver across the UK. The days we can reach you are shown in the calendar in your basket, so you pick from real dates rather than hoping for the best.

Your bouquet is sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm on the day you choose. Any Royal Mail delays are completely out of our control.

If you choose a Saturday, the Saturday delivery charge is added to your basket automatically. There is nothing extra to tick.

If your bouquet arrives late

Our delivery fee promise

If your bouquet arrives after 1pm on the day you chose, tell us as soon as you can with your order number and we will refund your delivery fee, as set out in our terms and conditions. Any Royal Mail delays are completely out of our control, but that refund is a promise, not a maybe.

Bad weather, a Royal Mail delay or a supplier problem can occasionally slow things down. If we know, you will know. We will tell you as soon as we hear and work out the next step with you.

Your part on the day

Fresh flowers cannot wait in a depot the way a parcel of socks can.

  • Someone needs to be able to receive the flowers on the day, or leave a safe place note at checkout and Royal Mail will follow it.
  • If nobody is in and there is no safe place, Royal Mail may leave a card or hold the box at a depot. Every extra hour in a box costs freshness, and that part is outside anyone's control.
  • Double check the address before you pay. We cannot redirect a bouquet once it has been handed to Royal Mail, and we cannot take responsibility for an address we were given wrong.

Delivery fees

The delivery fee for your chosen day is shown clearly before you pay. Once your order has been dispatched, delivery fees are not refundable, except where our delivery fee promise above says otherwise.
