Learn the designs families ask for, and how to look after them when they call. A calm, practical day covering the making, the pricing and the conversations. One day, just you and the founder of PENELOPES Flowers.

This course is suitable for florists who want to start offering funeral work, anyone who already works with flowers, and anyone who has trained with PENELOPES. You do not need to have done funeral work before. The mechanics and the designs are taught step by step on the day.

WHAT YOU WILL MAKE

You make four funeral designs yourself, as many times as it takes: a funeral posy, a letter tribute, a heart tribute and a coffin spray.

HOW YOUR DAY RUNS

We start with the conversation: taking a funeral order with care, what to ask, what to say and how to talk about budgets kindly. You then make each design step by step, followed by cards and wording, delivery to funeral directors, and how to price each design fairly. The day finishes with your costings, a funeral order form to use, and everything packed to take home.

THE BUSINESS SIDE

You will learn the questions to ask and the tone to take when taking the call, how to cost every design and quote to a family's budget while still making a fair profit, how to present your designs and prices so families can choose without feeling rushed, and how to work with funeral directors on delivery and timings.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

Your course includes private one to one tuition, all flowers, foam and tools used on the day, everything you make to take home, a full pricing breakdown for every design, a stem count for each design, a funeral order form, your PENELOPES certificate and access to our wholesale WhatsApp.

WHO THE COURSE IS FOR

Florists who already work with flowers, people who have trained with PENELOPES, and anyone who wants to start offering funeral work. If you are new to floristry, start with our core one to one or group training, then come back for this.

INVESTMENT

1:1 Funeral Training: £950

2:1 Funeral Training: £800 per person

Deposit: £100 to reserve your space

The remaining balance is payable in accordance with our One-to-One Terms and Conditions. We may invoice the balance before the course date, and any invoice must be paid within the stated payment period.

Please make sure you have enough space in your car or transport to take everything you make home with you.
